2 days til Christmas

How about a little snowman soup to keep you warm while your out shopping or during that hustle and bustle! I did these little snowman boxes with some homemade marshmallows, hot cocoa, candy cane, Hershey kisses and an orange M&M. Attached is a little saying that you can search on the internet for, there are so many different ones and then make it your own or leave it ;) Along with a picture of what the snowman soup looks like when all items are placed in the cup. I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful day :)

5 days til Christmas

o today was tough, it seems my brain hit a wall and didn't want to work :( So take comfort in the things around you, right?!? Well what was around me was my craft stuff, not working!! Then I looked at my new cozy PJ bottoms and slippers that I received last night from my most caring sister and brother-in-law, who knows I am ALWAYS freezing. I have chosen to call this post "Ode to the PJ's". It's amazing what a wonderfully cozy pair of pj's will do, lol! Here is a picture of my pj bottoms and warm new slippers, don't mind the mess :) and if you think I am crazy, I probably am, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do :)

And, here is the card to go along with them. I used heat embossing to achieve the snowflake look and Tim Holtz distressing ink for the purple. I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful day :)

8 days til Christmas

My daughter had this lace ribbon around her head, using it as a pretend headband and I instantly asked her if I could have it!! I had a vision of a country Christmas, with a beautiful tree in front of a picture window, all wrapped up in muted colors. I layered the ribbon on some cardstock and cut it into a triangle shape for the tree. Cut pieces of paper in square and rectangle shapes for the presents and used a leaf punch for the wreath and garland. Oh and lots of stickles :) I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful day!

9 days til Christmas

I tried to make this card really yummy, so you would just want to eat it :) With embossing and Tim Holtz Distressing inks I was able to do all the colors and shading. Amazing what you can do with a white piece of paper ;) I then cut out a gingerbread shape and distressed it, added beads to look like gumdrops and you have your cute card! I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful day!!

Good morning everyone! Only 10 days left, wow how time flies, it seems like I was just cooking my turkey :) This card has a lot of different things going on from one stamped image. I did some glitters with the MS glitters, heat embossed, distressed and voila. If anyone ever has any questions you can always leave them on the post or email me and I would be happy to try and answer them :) I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful day!

M.A.G. challenge- Paisley pg. 59

So your probably thinking WHAT, two in one day!! or you thinking ya so what's the big deal :) Anyhoo, I couldn't turn down a challenge and my fellow blogger girlia referred me to these and they are so much fun and I also have a hard time turning down a challenge ;) For those that want to join I have posted the link below.

I just love, like most crafter's do, when you think of the way you want something done and it comes close to or is your thought exactly. That is what happened with this one. I wasn't quite sure if the flowers would work into a wreath, but I was determined and it wasn't that difficult in the end.

I used two different sizes for the flowers, green at 1 1/4 and the red at 1/4.

I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful night!!

Today's challenge and final child, lol is brought to you by "K" my only boy :) He is 2 1/2 so I wasn't going to include him. My daughters adamantly told me he can do it, so I let him pick out 3 colors; white, yellow and blue. He grabbed a box; Create-a-Critter and I skimmed the pages until he said stop. Then he pointed to which one he wanted; pg. 43. So I have done my motherly duty of including them all into the challenges, whew :) I will have it up later, enjoy your Sunday!
