Teacher- CTO #16

It is time for another Celebrate the Occasion challenge and what is more perfect than a School's Out- (must have an apple) challenge!! I made these cards for my kids' teachers as a thank you and colored the digi to match them, hair wise anyway, lol ;) I wrote on the picture board that is in her hand "Thank you for a great year", it is kinda hard to see in the picture. I used some of the wonderful Tiddly Inks digi and background to complete it. So hop on over and make a project, card or other item but don't forget to use an apple!! I would love to see what you come up with, have a great Tuesday or maybe your Monday :)

* Congratulations Kate Cordero for winning the last challenge and don't forget to come back and join us for the blog hop and LOTS of candy!!

I hope you can join in, I am barely making the Tiddly Inks but you can still make the A La Card Monkey and join Tiddly Inks for their next challenge! I hope you enjoy and have a great night :)

Your Story Journals

Well I tried my hand at the Your Story and made these cute journals. They were really easy to make, the hardest or most tedious part was cutting all the paper to go inside of them. In the end, the finished product makes it so worth it :) Have a great Friday!!

P.S. I will be sending out the digi to those on the earlier post this next week and putting up the video tutorial :)

Supply List

Okay, I have taken picture of some items you will need, you may already have them in your house.

1. Colored pencils- Prismacolor, Crayola, Artist's Loft etc. (wax based pencil)

2. OMS or Baby Oil- for blending color. I have also heard Goo-Gone works (non-toxic/citrus smell)

3. Blending Stump
If anyone has any question please let me know, the blending stumps and OMS can be found at most craft store's in the art supply section. I have not used baby oil or goo gone, but it is suppose to work the same way and is non-toxic. We only use a little bit at a time, so you only need a travel sized bottle or borrow some from a neighbor ;) If you do have questions, you can either email me or leave it on the post and I will get back to you, dilsaverdesigns at yahoo dot com. The picture will be sent out soon :)

Fun Challenge

Okay, so this is for fun, but you can win something!! I thought it would be fun to have a challenge, but I want to see who would want to participate first. I have had some requests on coloring and I am going to do a video for you, but I want to know how many of you would want to participate along with the video. I am going to draw up a digi of a face with some long flowing hair and I thought for those that wanted to participate, I would send you the digi, for free, to follow along with the video and then when you are done practicing you would upload it into the inlinkz to be drawn randomly for a prize. Any takers??? It will be just with colored pencils, not copics and I am by no means an expert, that is why I say it is for fun and I will show you what I do to color them. I will provide a supply list before the actual coloring video. I use Prismacolor pencils, which are not cheap and I don't expect everyone to run out and buy them, so I will do one premade with my Prismacolor pencils and in the tutorial I will color it with Crayola pencils so you can see a side by side. For practice purposes, Crayola or Artist Loft from Michaels, anything wax based will work but we will get into that later. First, let see how many would want to do this. If you would like to participate, leave a comment with your email address and I will get the digi to you and then we will go from there. This is nothing to get scared about, this is honestly for those who have never tried it and want to "Bring the design out" of you, you never know unless you try right. It will be fun!!!

P.S. we can even make it a family affair, you can enter your kids or relatives under you or their own to join in also

This card is for the Tiddly Inks Challenge #50- Inspire me!. You had to go off the below picture to create a card. I chose to use Lilli Claire "Bloom little lilly" and the poppy from "Poppy Accents". I layered a bunch of the poppies into what was close to the colors and had Lilli Claire popping out. I took a tad bit of time, but it was worth it. Don't Worry

I made this card for the Throwback Thursday challenge at My Creative Time. You need to use the Cricut cartridge- Doodlecharms or if you don't have that, something older and the color blue. I made all of the items on this card from Doodlecharms, minus the butterflies and the grass, they are a Martha Stewart Punch and cut them out in white cardstock then colored them. The cat, bucket, apples and the little made up paw are all from Doodlecharms. The paw was actually the egg layer to the Easter basket and I just used it for the paw. I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful day :)

laugh, imagine, dream

I made this card for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge #101. The sponsor this week is Sassy Cheryl's and that is where I got this digi. I was drawn to it because it reminded my of my oldest daughter, who is always wearing her green converse shoes and loves to paint. I turned the sketch sideways and colored it to match her.

I also want to send a big Thank you to SSW, I was the grand prize winner for the 100th sketch celebration with my card "Boys". I just about fainted and I did double check, it is me. It's spelled "Delsaver Designs" :) so I wanted to verify before I had my heart attack thinking that it was me!! I am so excited, one of the prizes was a custom photo stamp from "A Day for Daisies", you send a picture to her and you get it back in stamp form. I will be posting the card I make with it when I get it. Also I won a wonderful prize from Arlana, the whole thing was just so much, I couldn't even believe it. So thank you SSW for your wonderful sketches and challenges to make the cards in the first place ;) I hope all of you can hop over and join because they really are wonderful. Anyways, I'm done gushing, I hope you all have a wonderful night :)
