I used "Curious Things," an image that was part of the June club pack and I turned the sketch sideways to fit the image. I hope you enjoy and everyone had a wonderful Sunday :) Don't forget to hop over and take a look at the DT inspiration and take part in the fun challenge!!

Steampunk 2 B & W

I decided to make another card for Tiddly Inks Steampunk Showoff Challenge, but this time in black and white. Boy was this a toughy for me, I think my brain was making it harder than it needed to be ;) Practice, practice though and it shall get easier!! I used a couple of different images from the Tiddly Inks shop, the first is Miss "Tanker Fairy Sits" and I also used a few images from the "Steampunk papers-extra goodies", which is the frame, the side embellishment and the strip of paper. The "Fern log" came from Make it Crafty. To get all the black and white shades I used a bunch of greys, black and my white with touches of a white gel pen here and there and layered the colors the same way I would if it were in color, just had to view in B & W. As I said I need a lot of practice in this area but it was fun to stretch my mind. If anyone has any questions please let me know and I hope you are having a wonderful Friday :)

Steampunk for Tiddly Inks

Hello everyone, hope you are having a happy day! Today and the last 3 days actually I have been working on this card for the Tiddly Inks Steampunk Showoff Challenge. They really have wonderful images and the only reason I worked on it for so long is that I had a vision in my head for the background and I just couldn't get it right. I used some metal from a soda can to add dimension to the metal flowers in the background and also the metal butterflies. My metallic pencils just were not coming out metallic, lol or as metallic looking as I wanted I guess. Oh well, as you can see Tiddly Inks really has some beautiful images as you see "Druscilla" with her beautiful flowing lines. I also used the "metallic flowers" from Make it Crafty for the background and doubled the image up. Hop on over and join in on the fun challenge, you could win 5 new images and that is a fantabulous prize!! She also has a cute freebie up, wink, wink. Well I hope you all have a fabulous day and I will talk with you soon :)

Heard you caught a bug.....

I made this card for the Hambo Hoedown progressive challenge- A monochromatic card with a color you don't usually use. I chose to use this burnt yellow from Echo Park, I had a lot of fun making this card and I think it would cheer anyone up who was sick. I ended up turning my card after I adhered my bottom layers so the paper doesn't match up but let's pretend I didn't tell you that ;) You can join in on the challenge anytime to receive the free digi for the next challenge, so hop over and give it a try. I hope you all are having a wonderific day and I will talk to you soon :)

It is Critter Sketch time and this week's challenge is a sketch. This month's sponsor is Stampandcreate.com and you will have a chance to win a prize from them. I chose to use the image for A Day for Daisies again in a different way. I colored it in light subtle tones to go with the neutral papers and added some fun party hats. I then distressed around the edges of the circles with my Tim Holtz distress tool and popped it up. I hope you can hop over and take part in the fun challenge and if you have any questions please ask!! Have a great Monday :)

My friend

Happy Saturday everyone!! I made a card for the M.A.G. Challenge by the Page today and I am amazed at how long it has been since I have done one. It was so nice to get back into it. The challenge is to use the Create a Critter cartridge pg. 59 only, I chose to use the star. I cut it in two different sizes for the outer and inner part of the flower and then stickled it up like crazy. I chose to do a simple background to make the flower stand out more with the leafy branch embossing for texture. I hope you can hop over and take part, see what you can come up with!! Have a wonderful day :)

ADFD 300 member Party- Card 3

This is the final image in the 300 member freebie and it is, of course, adorable!! You can go to A Day For Daisies shop and look at some of her wonderful digi's HERE. For this card I cut the image out in a circle and popped it on a 4x4 square of blue cardstock that I punched with my "Cheers" punch by M.S. and then cut out an extra set of balloons and popped them up. For the rest of the card I used DCWV's paper stack and embellished with it with some fun buttons on the corners. So that is all for my member party entries and I hope you can hop over and take a look, you won't be disappointed!! I hope you all have a fabulous day and if you have any questions please ask away :)

I made this card for a couple of challenges, the first is Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge # 110-32. There sponsor this week is StampFairy.com and that is where I got my image "Lilly Playing". StampFairy is having a color challenge- Kraft, Melon and Turquoise, that is how I came up with my color scheme for this card. Sweet thoughts of you- MPS DT call

I made this card for The Pink Stamper: Design Team Call. It is such a wonderful challenge to work with using her color requirement, along with a Cricut cartridge. I chose to use the "Sentimentals" cartridge and cut the postage squares in two different sizes and layered them along with the beautiful butterfly on there. The antennae for the butterflies were so thin and they ripped so I cut small strips of paper, inked them and glued them to the back. I made a pin to match the colors and used a beautiful orange ribbon from American Crafts. I left one square open for the sentiment which was stamped with My Pink Stamper "Simply Sweet Occasion" stamp set in a chocolate brown. She has many retailers to order from and you can click HERE to find one to suit you, I bought mine through Custom Crops.

If you have any questions please ask and I hope you can hop over and take part in the challenge, you definitely will not regret it!! Have a great day :)

This card was made for the Hambo Hoedown Challenge # 24- Image + Gate Fold. I used a couple of different digis to create the scene and glued down half of it on the right side for the gate fold. I sized down the sentiment and put it into the sign post and on this inside I used a piece of black cardstock to make the framed sentiment pop. The woman in red

It is time for another Tiddly Ink card, Challenge #57- Reel Me In. Pick a favorite movie and create a theme around it. I had a really hard time with this because I don't watch a lot of Movies/TV because if I sat down in a dark room or sat down, I would fall asleep. So I was getting ready for bed and a "Sucker Punch" promo came on and I thought it would be a perfect card with the Tiddly Ink images, but I just could not find the right image for it. So my DH saw this image and got all excited and said "The Woman in Red" about a dozen times and then said "Wait, can you make that?" Ha, can I make that, to him I say "OF course I can make that!!" He then leaves the room and I am thinking, I don't know if I can make that, I have never watched the movie, I have seen the poster for it though, so I made it to go with the poster. Poor "Carpenter Joe" was just trying to do his work when he walked by Miss "Blow me Away", lol. Needless to say the DH kept coming in every 5 minutes asking if it was done yet, men ;) So it is not MY favorite movie, but it is obviously a favorite of many men, including my DH. Below I have posted the poster for your viewing purposes :)

The funny thing is that after I made this card the Tiddly Inks/Make it Crafty images debuted and they are FANtastic, you click on the button to the side there to go take a look or HERE, they have a fun "Eye Spy" game going on. Within that debut are a lot of Steampunk images that would have worked with the original movie. So if there are any of you out there that are movie buffs, hop over and join in, they have a lot of great images that work with all movies and take a look at what the DT came up with!! Thank you for listening to me babble and I hope you have a wonderful day :)
