"Just Because" Card

This cartridge is fast, easy, fun and lighthearted. If you are in a hurry to make a simple card this and the "Wild Card" Cartridge are perfect for that. They both cut out the base card and layers for you and you just have to glue it together. You can make it as simple as you want or as extravagant as you want. The nice thing also is that you don't even have to use it for cards because the layers are perfect for other projects or scrapbook pages. For the card on this one I did the "Pretty Peas" one. Oh, and by the way I switched the base card from green to yellow to match the birds. Sorry to confuse you with the pictures :)

"Create a Critter" card

This is a really cute cartridge with so many options. I decided to do the Zebra, the original image is a boy Zebra. I made him into a her and put it into card form. I also did the phrase on the Giraffe page. I found these cute googly eyes with eyelashes at the Dollar Tree and thought they would look cute with these animals.

Items used:
Cricut
Cricut Create a Critter Cartridge pg 47 and 48
White Gel pen
White, Red, Black cardstock

"Robotz" card

Here is a version of a card for you :) I handcut an oval to look like a rug and drew the spirals on. I used the ek success infinite punch for the bottom, all on gray cardstock. Hand punched a decorative oval and the text says "Maid just for YOU!" Ha Ha, corney, oh well. Create a Critter next.

"Robotz"

Okay, so I am a slacker, sorry! The sun and weeding took over me yesterday and I didn't get the post up :( So the first post I am going to show you is going to be on the Robotz cartridge. I did a side by side pic to show how many pieces there were and then a pic of the finished robot. Have you ever took something apart and then you were not quite sure where those last little pieces went? I had that problem for a moment on this one. The pic of the robot in the book was so light for the little pieces that I almost didn't even notice them, but I figured it out. Very cute cartridge, if you cut all the pieces out it will take some time to put it together but I think the end product turns out nice. My biggest dilemma was trying to figure out what colors to use for the different layers to get the end product to work. The more you do the better it will look because you will get use to those layers. I will post the design I use this robot in later today along with another cartridge. Have a good afternoon :)

Cricut

With National Scrapbook Day coming up I thought I would bring out the Cricut and use some of the new cartridges. I don't use it as much as I should, I tend to do everything by hand. I will be going over Robotz, "Just Because" Cards, Create a Critter and Forever Young. For those that are interested stay tune, I will upload my first and maybe all tomorrow :) Hopefully! I love to be able to see some of the things that the cartridges do before I buy, if I can. I hope this helps in some of your decisions. Have a good night!!!

HD natural lighting experiment!

Have any of you seen the HD lights and wondered if they work??? Well I always have and I was a skeptic. I notice though that even though alot of my pictures may look subdued and maybe even a flair of romance to it, lol, you couldn't always tell the colors. Thanks to some feedback on the latest shoe looking pink and more for a girl (it still could go either way) I bought one to try it and have taken pictures with the indoor lamp lighting (top) and the HD natural light (bottom). Judge for yourself, it amazingly shows you the colors with great clarity. Anyone doing artwork or anything that has to do with colors I recommend one or do your work in the daytime by a window :) I on the other hand do not always have the luxury to do my work during the day, so for those night workers or those that do not have a window by there work area, I highly recommend. Oh did I mention they have some this week at Michaels 66% off!!!

Baby Shower

Hi everyone,

Happy Wednesday! Well through much trial and error the baby shoe shower gift (made of paper) has emerged :P. Seriously though, it took many templates and such and still is in the working process but here is a picture of ones that were done for a baby girl shower. Filled with yummy pink M & M's and just a peek of the cute shower invite. I will do one for a boy just to show what it would look like and my hopes are that they will get better and better. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!
