Teacher- CTO #16

It is time for another Celebrate the Occasion challenge and what is more perfect than a School's Out- (must have an apple) challenge!! I made these cards for my kids' teachers as a thank you and colored the digi to match them, hair wise anyway, lol ;) I wrote on the picture board that is in her hand "Thank you for a great year", it is kinda hard to see in the picture. I used some of the wonderful Tiddly Inks digi and background to complete it. So hop on over and make a project, card or other item but don't forget to use an apple!! I made this card for a couple of challenges. The first challenge is Tiddly Inks Challenge #51- Manly Man. I used the Tiddly Inks digi- Carpenter Joe and he was such a cutie that I felt the sentiment was only necessary! I also made this for A La Card Monkey sketch # 58- Man card + sketch. It was such a great sketch to work with as is all of their sketches I have worked with so far. I made this card for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge #101. The sponsor this week is Sassy Cheryl's and that is where I got this digi. I was drawn to it because it reminded my of my oldest daughter, who is always wearing her green converse shoes and loves to paint. I turned the sketch sideways and colored it to match her.

I also want to send a big Thank you to SSW, I was the grand prize winner for the 100th sketch celebration with my card "Boys". I just about fainted and I did double check, it is me. It's spelled "Delsaver Designs" :) so I wanted to verify before I had my heart attack thinking that it was me!! I am so excited, one of the prizes was a custom photo stamp from "A Day for Daisies", you send a picture to her and you get it back in stamp form. I will be posting the card I make with it when I get it. Also I won a wonderful prize from Arlana, the whole thing was just so much, I couldn't even believe it. I am the GD over at A La Card Monkey again this week and challenge # 56- Kid card + Sketch. This card was inspired by my 3 year old son who always says "I'll do it Mom, cause I'm your superhero!!!" and of course I always tell him he IS my superhero :) His favorite colors are blue and red and that is how the card came about. Tiddly Inks Treasure Hunt Birthday Blog Hop- Expired

Hello and welcome to the Tiddly Inks "Treasure Hunt" birthday blog hop. Happy Happy 1st birthday Tiddly Inks!! I am so excited to be a guest designer for this hop because I oh so love all the digi's and what a fun way to showcase them. You should have arrived here from Marlena's wonderful blog. For my first card today, I decided to showcase the new "GeekaTude" digi. Isn't he fabulous, he is one of the 20 new birthday digi's in the shop. I paired him with the Digisparkle wall backdrop and colored them with Prismacolor pencils and OMS.

For the second card I did "Goldilocks". It reminded me so much of the neighbor who is always peering in your window to just say hi! Prismacolors and OMS were also used on this card.

What would a treasure hunt be without treasure, so of course I got some candy for you!! I made this card for the Sentimental Sundays challenge #52- Let's get punchy. I used there sentiment and I felt it went wonderfully with the beautiful couple of Tiddly digi's, I have the links in the recipe for you. I used two different sized circle punches for sentiment, a punch for the bottom of the kraft paper and a corner punch for a total of 4 punches. I also tried something new by coloring in black and white to let the colors of the painting shine. I still need practice but I had to try it!! I am also going to enter this into the Make it colourful challenge #15- use black. Thank you Christy @ Tiddly Inks for sharing the challenge. I made this card for the M.A.G. challenge by the page- challenge # 23. I also incorporated it into a Mother's Day card for the Celebrate the Occasion challenge # 11- Mother's Day. For the M.A.G. challenge you need to use the "Forever Young" Cricut cartridge, pg. 44 only. I missed last weeks challenge (shame on me), time got away from me, so I had to make sure I got this one done. For those that haven't done these, they are so much fun, you need to try one and you will see :) I think this butterfly should be called "ode to Gloria" because she oh so loves blue and I thought of her when I made it, lol.
